I’m Dylan, a Black woman, a transracial adoptee, and a survivor of trauma (aren’t we all?).
I found breathwork through my own process of healing, after years of meditation, yoga, and therapy. I discovered that breathwork helped me get out of my overactive mind and into my physical body. This practice gives us the gift of bypassing the limbic system (fight or flight) and accessing the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest).
Through my own practice, I’ve released trauma, stagnant emotions, accessed higher levels of consciousness, and found both clarity and inspiration. It has been incredibly empowering, enlightening, and healing. Breathwork has taught me priceless lessons, the greatest of which is that we all have a sacred inner knowing. I believe tapping into it is one of the most radical, liberating acts we can do for ourselves.
With reverence for this practice, and the teachers and lineages that came before me, I answered a calling to hold space for others.
